A lack of access to lactation services is a major barrier that prevents parents and babies from receiving breastfeeding care. This systematic literature review covers how telehealth has impacted accessibility to lactation services for families all over the world, while illustrating the positive impacts of lactation telehealth services on breastfeeding outcomes and statistics. Not only were virtual lactation services deemed accessible and satisfying for families of all kinds, but the services were also effective in increasing breastfeeding rates, increasing breastfeeding duration, and decreasing early breastfeeding ending (Hubschman-Shahar, 2022).
